3 Steps to Move Your Floral Business Toward $100K This Week

Flower friends, 100, 000 business seems for some so far away and every single step that I've taken to get where I am now has been a combination of a million little steps. So I want to talk about what are three things that you could do this week to get yourself on track to For a hundred thousand dollar business, because it isn't like these big, huge leaps and moments.
It is little things that you are putting. It's like chess. You've moved your pawn. You've moved your rook. You've moved your queen. Like all of those moves get you into the direction of taking over and dominating that board. And I want you to dominate that board. I want things to change for you. And so three things that you can do that are not a big stretch, they're not crazy, is for first thing, reach out to three wedding planners.
Try to build relationships with three wedding planners. Wedding planners, if you want to be a wedding and event florist, are going to be your lowest hanging fruit to getting more weddings booked. And I say that from experience because I have wedding planners that I have, have relationships with that I have built over 100, 000 in business with.
There are event decorators that I've had probably half a million dollars of business with them. There are wedding planners that I've had 10, 000 of business with. You never know what a relationship could turn into. And so this is your opportunity to build something that's going to be impactful. And especially if it's a wedding planner, that's at a similar area in life and business, you guys could glow up together.
Like glow up your businesses because you're, you're both probably wanting similar things. You probably have similar social media, you probably have similar life goals, or maybe at a similar spot. Like, why not lock arms with that person and be like, let's dominate together. There are so many wedding planners, like, I absolutely love the shit out of them.
Like, I love the human they are, I love what they're doing, I love how they want to be the best version of themselves. All the things. So find a wedding planner and if that sounds overwhelming, where you can start with that is open a local bride publication or go on Instagram and anytime you see somebody being tagged, look at the wedding planners being tagged.
You never know like if that wedding planner is going to resonate with you, but they need to know who you are first. So my strategy for connecting with wedding planners that I teach a lot of my coaching clients is go on and follow them on Instagram. Like start there. Go and start interacting on their posts.
Getting interactions on your posts are not the easiest thing in the world. So go get Like that frequency with them. So they start seeing your name going, God, this person seems like they're so kind. This person seems so great because they are going in. And so I am telling you, start building a plan to interact with wedding planners.
It will make a huge difference in your business. The long term trajectory, because if you think about like chasing that customer, that is that one time customer versus chasing that customer, that's going to give you like 10 weddings, potentially, it is such a great investment of time. All right. The next one is to check your first glance impressions on all of the different mediums that you're marketing yourself.
Instagram. TikTok, Facebook, um, your website. Does anybody who logs on to look at that clearly know what you were doing? Is it clear that you were a wedding and event florist? Is it clear what kind of wedding and event florist you are? Does all of that just click right away or are people going, I don't know what this florist really does?
So I don't know if they're for me because if there's any of that, we want to get rid of that. We want to be so clear on what we offer that when somebody looks at us, they just, they know where their look, their vibe. We are attracting the people who we want to attract and repelling the people who we do not.
And if you start to do that, You're going to get more of your ideal client coming your way because you're not getting these people that are like, I'm just going to see how cheap this person is to see if they're for me. I'm just going to see if What their quote looks like because I mean their look work looks okay because it doesn't speak to them You want to speak so clearly to that person that they're like, I absolutely love everything this person is about and I love their work.
I love how everything is and like you want it to be that clear. So go and just log on have somebody else like your mom or your best friend or a floral bestie like What how would you after looking this? What would you say that my business does or What are five words you would use to describe my business?
Those are going to help make it really clear That if you're getting the message across because if you're not getting the message across you need to tweak shape and mold All right, and number three invest in yourself either by time money or a combination thereof When I have had the biggest business growth You Um, it's because I have spent money on my personal development, my business development.
Um, I have invested probably, I would say close to 80, 000 in my brain. In courses, in masterminds, in one on one coaching, in group coaching programs. Like, I know that my business went from. Really making not any money and working really hard and doing a shitload of weddings to what it is now that I am making working part time, um, in the mid threes this year with limited amount of childcare with still being the human that I want to be because I've invested in myself and investing in myself could be listening to a podcast.
It could be. listening to a book. Like I am starting Profit First in my business, which is a business operating system by Mike Michalowicz. He wrote a book called Profit First, so I've been listening to that book. I've listened to it twice. I listen to probably, I would say, five to seven hours of podcasts a week.
I, uh, Dedicate time to watching courses that I've, I've bought, uh, watching and purchasing the Blue Blossom Academy, uh, course that is all about launching a silk flower business. Like that has, has made me, uh, Abundant amount of money and I already have money booked for next year So like I know when I invest in myself, it's going to come back.
It's going to come back from teaching you guys it's going to come back from Growing my business and so can you invest time if you don't have money and resources? Like I'm all about paying for shortcuts I have a limited amount of time that I want to expend. And so can I pay for a shortcut? Because if I can, I'm going to.
And I want you to approach it in that same way. Because most entrepreneurs that are doing big things have figured out a shortcut to get there. Of course you have hustled. Of course you have grinded. But you have optimized how you're running your business because you've learned from others.
