Manifesting Your Dreams Through Action: How Small Shifts Create Big Change

  📍

Hello flower friends. It's Jen and have been doing just a ton of reflection 'cause as you guys know, there's a lot going on right now. We are working on selling this house and getting it all ready. We are, we bought our dream farm and this weekend we, I bought a trailer, like an animal trailer a few weeks ago.

And we've been using it to move, um, some things. Um, but we went to an animal auction in Nebraska, which was six hours. It was like five hours and 45 minutes if you drove straight. So of course, you know, everybody's got a pee. We brought the dogs with. And we have to eat and all the things. And we went and bought a miniature donkey, two alpacas, and one of the alpacas is going to have a baby in July.

And we bought a mini horse and it had a baby, you guys. And so it was like just this like magical moment of, of thinking about dreaming and really what dreaming. Looks like to actually manifest what you really want. And when I used to hear the word manifest, I thought, this is such bullshit. Like you do not manifest things that is ridiculous.

Like that is a bunch of woo that is a bunch of, you know, ridiculousness. And so I don't mean manifest in a way that. You know, you're, you're hoping that the universe is going to like help you out because I really don't think that that's how manifesting works. What I think manifesting can truly be and is really getting your body and your mind and your environment, like moving in a direction that supports the newer version of you.

So if you are a person who has these big dreams and. For one, you're not speaking it, so you're like thinking it maybe in your deep subconscious, but you aren't telling anybody. And maybe you're not telling anybody because you don't wanna disappoint people. You don't want people all of a sudden to know your big secrets.

And so then you don't want them to be able to call you out. And then you feel like you're a failure because you aren't doing the fucking things that you said you wanted to. You're always like, someday, and I wish I could do this. And you know, all of this kind of like limiting beliefs that like, we're going to stay stuck here.

You don't need to stay stuck where you're at. And so I was thinking this weekend as I literally was getting alpacas like. The cutest little alpacas you guys into my barn. Um, we have these two horse stalls and we were getting them in there and I was just like thinking on how, like, what a big moment this is because I.

I had actually thought about herding animals out of the trailers when we bought them, and I just had thought about it and then I walked in and bodie's like, I really wanna go see the donkey. And I'm like, okay. And so he goes in there and. He is hugging this donkey, you guys, and it was just like this moment because I had imagined, I had dreamed, I have envisioned like my kids bonding with animals like I did.

And so like how this is practical to making your dreams happen. 'cause you're probably like so fucking sick of hearing about the farm and so sick of all these things, but like this has been. Such a long time in the making of me starting to change my mindset, to start to change the way I think, to turn, start really changing what I expect from myself, what I expect from my business, what I expect from my life, what I expect from a partner.

All of these things have evolved to support this version of myself. So to me that is what manifesting is. Yes, you start to speak it into existence. Then I do feel like a little ripple in the ecosystem of the world has been, you know, pinged so that you literally are hopefully. That Ripple is going to ripple back that this is your new reality.

So how do you start the ripple? I first think you need to start dreaming and after you start dreaming, and if you think, God, this is just ridiculous. I used to think that it was a ridiculous idea. That I would never get a farm because that just was like so much money and that was so much responsibility.

And then really when I backed into that, I was, I had money scarcity, I had scarcity, that I would have a partner that, you know, I would be doing it myself and like then that pressure and then, you know, all of those domino things. So like putting. Into place, like having the right partner to help support me in that goal, who really equally thought that that goal was so as important as I thought it was.

So then that synergy in believing that this was not far off from reality. Started to make it, you know, basically manifest into reality. So if you have these big badass goals right now, and the first thing I want you to do is I want you to talk to the people you love about it. I want them to support you in those goals because once you have that support, the ripple becomes so much easier.

Because it's not like you're fighting the ripple upstream. You have people paddling with you. And I talk about support being such a key part because I know it is. I know that for one, a supportive partner is a game changer. I know the power of masterminds and having support. I know the support of a business coach is invaluable.

Like I've seen the ripple of support, and every time I have hired a business coach, my revenue has increased usually by 20 to 25%. Yeah, and every time I've done that, I feel like my value of my life has also increased commensurate to that because I've put more boundaries in place. I've put more things in place that are giving instead of just grinding and.

W In doing that, I, I know that my business is moving in a direction that people have helped me row the boat down the shore, and that's how I got there. And so if you don't have that support system, I've done episodes on having conversations. With family to get that support because I previously had the opposite.

I, I mean, my mother was completely not supportive and made me feel like a failure. And I had a dad that was like the party dad and really wasn't ever accountable for my development 'cause he, you know, was just like the weekend dad that was. Not like that. Build 'em and make them successful type of dad that, um, I feel like we all deserve.

And maybe you have the weekend dad, and maybe you have the weekend mom, or maybe you have the mom that's judging you. Maybe you have the best friend that is. I've gone through all of those things and those people can drag your dreams down. They can. Push your boat in the opposite direction. So if you are struggling with that, it, you need to counterbalance it almost like times 10 to get your boat moving in the opposite direction.

So you've started to really dream these goals. You've this, this, you're dream of what everything would look like and you're rowing your boat in a direction with people who support you. Then. You need to have the plan and the strategy in place to make it happen. Like I spend a lot of time strategizing on how all of these things are gonna work together.

And I didn't go balls in and just quit my day job to, you know, like try to grow my business. I grew my business in tandem. I created a runway with my day job and so. I, I feel like so many people are like, God, I can't stand my day job anymore. And it, it is just a tool to get you where you need to be. So if you are running with that support in tandem, and that is only going to help you prime the pump of success.

And I know it feels tough. I know that you probably want to flip them the middle finger. You probably want to tell them what horrible human beings they are. You probably wanna tell them they are a bunch of idiots that don't know how to run a business. All of those things could be true, but if you are not supporting getting to your goal.

You could go backwards if you just take the leap and quit that job that could support you to build a stronger foundation. I think fundamentally, the younger generation often struggles with, like, I worked three jobs when I was 16. We actually drove through Owatonna where I grew up, and I drove by two of the places where I had had jobs, and I thought about that today, that.

Like, I've always worked really hard and my threshold for success has always grown with that. And it, it's really interesting. Um, there is a, uh, kind of, he owns a company called First Form. His name is Andy Illa. He has a podcast called the M-F-C-E-O. You guys probably know what that stands for. And he was talking about, he's like.

All of this to get him. There was hard work and all of this, like the people who are winning, the people who are doing things like they get up every day relentless in the pursuit of their goals. And if you are barely getting outta fucking bed and expecting all of this magic to happen in your life. I, I know all of these new age sensitivity people are saying like, you know what, just really take care of yourself.

And you know what? I do take care of myself, but I also push myself so that my success is inevitable, that my goals are getting bigger. My. Expectations are growing. When I hit a goal, my goal shifts and goes higher. And that's what successful people do. They, they tweak that goal to be even more when they hit it because they know that they need to push themself.

They need to push themself into that success ne next level of success. And if you are struggling, like this feels really hard, I want you to check in and be like. What is out of alignment here? What is going on inside that? This feels hard, that life feels hard. Things can be super hard in my life. Like, I don't wanna even say hard because that's not the right word.

Like heavy or tricky or you just a lot extra. If your life is extra, that's different than this feels hard. Even when my life is so full that most people wouldn't wanna crawl outta bed, like that is fuel for me to get fired up that I'm so fucking excited for what today has to bring. I'm so excited for all of these like things that are happening and the, the reason why it's exciting you guys is because I fundamentally love what I do.

I love flowers so much down to my bones. I love being a florist. I love teaching people just as much. I love being a mother just as much. Like there are so many things that are on fire, like hitting all cylinders of my heart, of my head, and if it is not doing that for you, I really want you to reflect and go.

Why, why doesn't this, why doesn't this feel amazing? Like what would make this amazing? And that's where your dream starts again. If you are not feeling fired up when you get up out of bed, we need to get back to the step one, the dream. How are we not in pursuit of that? Because if things are breaking down, if things don't feel good.

We're probably not in pursuit of that goal, or we're not inching close enough to that goal that we feel that warmth, we feel the sun on our skin like that. You know, I add this vision of, and I'm so excited 'cause I know this is gonna happen, that I had a field of dahlia's. And I was out in the Dahlia patch and I look over and I see my animals.

I see my mini Highland cow, and I see my children running and I feel the sun on my skin. And my skin is so clear because like I'm just living this really beautiful life and. Like if you don't have that moment mapped out and like, it's funny 'cause I'm staring at boxes of Dahlia tubers. You guys, I want you to map out that moment.

What does success look like? What did the mastermind girls, she, she's so cute, and I think I've mentioned this, but I just, I keep going back to it because it's, it's really one of those moments that you just go, yeah, this is what success looks like. Her shop. On Easter weekend had, was fucked. So filled to the brim, you guys, it was so filled with the brim.

And of course she felt overwhelmed. How could she not? Like there's all this shit everywhere. And I just reminded her. I was like, this is success. Like you're doing it. Having this busy shop that you just opened not that long ago, like all these people making orders like. You, you just, your whole shop is filled with stuff to sell and with orders to support that this is what success looks like.

So what does success look like to you? And that is all about putting all these pieces, because if we're in pursuit of something that isn't what success looks like, then we need to go back again to the dream, to the goal. Because if we're not in pursuit of success, then nothing is ever gonna feel like it.

It just magically could, unless you're in the pursuit of that moment that you're just like, this is it. And I mean, my, my goal dream, whatever, of course, goes way deeper. I mean, I have. Dreamt about, and I'm putting together the details of this. So like that dream will come true of having people come to the farm and I don't know why, but part of that dream was people are gonna get on airplanes to come here and I am going to have people come on my farm and they're gonna enjoy animals and we are gonna make beautiful flowers and my children get to see what takes me away from them and how giving teaching is because.

I, I love helping people and. My children do too. They are so good at helping and they're so good at at teaching already, even as young as they are, and that is just all energy soaked up from me, and so I know that this ripple effect can happen. And it doesn't have to be woo. It has to be you start changing your mind, start changing the way you talk to yourself, changing the people potentially of who are supporting and are around you.

Really believing that my success is inevitable. All these big things. This dream of me walking out there, dahlias everywhere. And like I imagine my hand just like running against the dahlias and the cosmos and the Lizzie and, and then looking out in the sun, and then my husband coming out under the porch and, and looking because.

He gets happy when he sees me happy. And that's also the true definition of what a partner really is because if your partner isn't basking in your success, your wins then. I mean, inevitably, that's a serious discussion. I want you to feel so supported and I, I know what it's like with many of the past relationships.

Like I just felt like the floral business was. This, I mean, it was like Superman's cryption night. They, I mean, none of my relationships previously. Of course, all of them thought it was cool in the beginning until they saw that it was work and that it took me away from them, and it took me away from taking care of them inevitably, which I just wasn't signing up for anymore.

And you don't need to do that either. So start dreaming big, start putting things into motion to support you. And you know, I always, when a plug is appropriate, throw out if you need support like no other, the floral CEO Mastermind is the place for you to be. It is a group of women that are all supportive, all.

Just so loving and caring and really like giving. And we have a little mini um, uh, retail florist group going on because we have a bunch of retail florists. So. Wherever you are at in your business. This month we did a training on streamlining recipes and making base recipes so that you can do estimates faster.

This week we are talking about basically like imposter syndrome and overcoming imposter syndrome. Um, we talked about candles in our, we have like a little office hours and we talked about candles and. What to charge and how to get candles where you should get candles, like how to build those into your estimates.

All the things we did. Hot seats, like the content in this is so packed and we all are in this Voxer chat group that you can go in and any time and ask a question and not only will I answer it, if the girls in the group, it's relevant to them, they are hopping in. It is. Uh, I, I think amazing and something that I wish that I had when I was growing my floral business.

And you, you just, it's, it's so interesting to see and hear everybody else success that it pushes you and that gentle push is also just like that little ripple. That will help push you in the momentum of success. The success becomes more inevitable when you are surrounding yourself with people who are in the pursuit of something bigger, and that's what the Floral CEO Mastermind is all about.

So go check it out at the floral hustle.com/mastermind and it'll also be in the show notes. Thank you so much for listening, flower friends, I hope you have an amazing flower fill week. My week is going to be filled with a little bit of flowers, but also some alpacas and mini horses and a little donkey that we are calling Ollie.

So thank you so much for listening, flower Friend. 📍
