🌸 The Creative Reset You’ve Been Craving: Retreat Details
Hello our friends. This is Jen and I have a big announcement, the next Floral Rockstar Retreat. I have been talking about it and talking about it and talking about it, but I. Finally with the million things that have been going on, have solidified the plan to have the first retreat here in Minnesota on my new farm in Denison, Minnesota.
Um, so I'm so excited to tell you guys about it because this is actually one of the big dreams when I was going out and we were looking at properties. I envisioned this workshop, this exact fucking workshop that is happening, you guys, like I envisioned what this experience would be like, how. I wanted people to feel after they left and how fun I wanted it to be and how I wanted it to be like this girl bonding experience like boys can come to, but like just this, a bonding experience that we just all felt connected and not alone.
And like we had fun activities that we're giving, but then we also left with. Tools and strategies and resources that were going to help us going forward. So September 21st through the 23rd. But you guys, of course, because we're doing something different than most, um, we're gonna have glamping on my farm.
I found the cutest glamping tents. And we are gonna set glamping tents up here on the farm. And if you are staying and glamping here, you can stay till the morning of the 24th. Uh, on day one, we are going to just have a meet and greet and weather dependent. We will have a little bonfire, which will be super fun.
Um, we have epic amounts of firewood on here, on the farm. You guys can meet all the four-legged friends on the farm, and you guys can even do evening chores with me if you want, because honestly it's kind of fun even though it's work. Uh, but I just want everybody to meet each other and then get settled in because we're gonna get started on Monday the 22nd.
With doing, um, still lifes, we are going to do some yoga. We are going to have a fun, delicious lunch. Um, I'm so excited for the still life part because my friend Alexander Robin is coming down and is going to take still life shots for each. Participant and so that you get those for your personal portfolio.
Uh, because it's, it's so hard to to get a photographer to come when you make something, you know, pretty in your studio or whatever. But we are gonna have an amazing setup for everybody to make still life. And then we're gonna get started on working on our main event, which is a beautiful. Styled shoot. Um, which is going to encompass several different things, including a breathtaking head table, uh, a piano installation.
And I have some fun other installations planned as well. So we're gonna get working on that, building our foundation and really. Putting together this amazing concept. It's going to be a farm to table concept, which we're gonna have veggie towers with peppers and like fun mushrooms and all these, just different texture vegetables.
Um, going down with beautiful locally grown product. Um, we might have some from a wholesaler, but I really wanna focus on. Like dahlias and zinnias and all these fun blooms. So I'm super excited for the concept and if you check it out at floral ceo.com/workshop, you can actually see the inspiration board.
Because this concept, I try to make every event that I do different, and this one is going to be next level. The piano install alone is going to be just so stunning. So, uh, then we are going to, there is a local bar here in Denison. I wouldn't say it's a dive bar, but I wouldn't say it's like top notch, but it is like.
Small town vibes, um, bar and restaurant, and anybody is welcome to go down there three miles away from the farm. And we're gonna go and have dinner. And if, if you guys wanna have cocktails, um, then come back to the farm if you are glamping. Otherwise, there is a, a neighboring, um, larger hotel that's about 13 minutes here from the farm.
If you're not a glamping gal. Then on Tuesday, big big day, we are going to start out the morning by finishing our all of our installations. Then we are going to get the styled shoot started. We're gonna have an amazing lunch again. Uh, we're gonna get the styled shoot underway and the styled shoot is going to encompass.
Like this beautiful farm, um, you know, farm to table kind of theme. And we're gonna have a beautiful bride and we're gonna have the farm animals involved. We're gonna have like a little donkey burrow kind of basket thing. Um. Definitely probably gonna have, um, my baby alpaca just with maybe like a little flower collar.
And so we just have some fun moments and then we're gonna decorate the front of one of the glamping tents and have the bride in front of that as kind of part of, um, the theme as well. So we're gonna have this amazing styled shoot. Then, uh, the team that I have involved in the style shoot is, is so amazing.
I'm so excited for it. Um, I have somebody helping with design. I have somebody helping obviously Alexander Robin with the photos. Um, my friend Tim from Tim Thornburg Films is helping do an amazing video of it. It is going to be so beautiful. And I'm, I'm just, I'm so excited. Uh, for how that shoot is going to come together and everybody that attends gets the full gallery of images to use, um, in their portfolio as well.
Then that evening we are going to actually enjoy 'cause for most style shoots, you take it all down at the end of it and we are actually gonna have an amazing. Farm to table dinner that, um, we're going to eat at this magnificent table that we have. And I'm so excited for like all the workshops that I've done, we've never like, actually enjoyed the table and I think it's gonna be magical and I'm excited.
Um, also for us. All to just spend time together because I know that sometimes, you know, it's everybody. You're just rushing, rushing, rushing. And this is a time for everybody to slow down, uh, while a style shoot is underway. I wanna take a little bit of time, um, and just do like a guided visualizations of the next level of your business.
And I want us to be able to just relax. It is so calming here. You guys on the farm. So peaceful, so calming, and I want you guys to feel and soak up that peace, even if it's for just those two, three days that you're here. It is. It, it feels so different and especially if you live in a city, like it is just a, a total shift.
And I want you guys to feel that shift, um, here on my farm, and we have the glamping tents are going to be set up and if you guys wanna glamp on the farm, that would be great. Of course we have the, um, local hotel accommodations as well, which, um, is about a 13 minute drive. Uh, the. Farm itself is about 45 minutes from Minneapolis airport.
It is in the country. I do live on a paved road, so that is helpful. But, uh, it is a 45 5 minute drive, which it, it's a beautiful 45 minute drive. It's all like, uh, hills and just beautiful scenery. Lots of animals, lots of corn. Uh, but I am so excited for this workshop, you guys, it is something that I have dreamed about literally four years, and it is finally all coming together.
Uh, if you are interested, uh, you probably will hear me talking about this a lot because I'm so excited to actually be launching it. Go to the floral, it's floral c.com for Slack workshop, or go check it out in the show notes because I, I'm so excited for, uh, for one, the vendor team, you, if you guys have done a style shoot, the vendor team is so critical, but I'm excited to share what my life is and.
You, if you guys wanna wake up with me and do chores, I would love to show you guys how I take care of all these animals, like what my routine is because I do chores twice a day. And it is kind of a labor of love, um, because we have so many different animals and every one of them, uh, requires a different.
Foods practically. So on the farm, just in case you don't follow along on Instagram, we have Ollie, our miniature donkey. We have three alpacas, we have two female, um, full-size alpacas, um, salt and pepper. And we have baby Teddy, which is Pepper's baby that was born at the end of May. We have a miniature horse, mommy and baby.
Um, their names are Apple and Jack, and then we have four, we have four full-sized goats and one baby goat. That was. About, it's about two and a half weeks old now. His name is Clover. We have barn kitties, we have seven barn kitties, we have chickens. Uh, and then we just got Petya, the mini Highland cow, and she is so adorable.
You guys are just going to love her. So I would love to invite you formally to the floral. Rockstar Retreat here in Denison, Minnesota. Please go check out floral ceo.com/workshop. Thank you so much, flower friends, and you have an amazing flower filled day. 📍
