Thinking About Giving Up? How to Shift from Overwhelm to Inevitable Success
📍
So friend, have you been overwhelmed by your business? Have you been thinking like, how is this going to work? How am I going to make money at this? How am I going to make this successful so I can quit my day job? How am I not going to be so tired? How am I not going to be so burned out? How am I not going to be doing a million trillion things?
And we're, you're maybe focusing on a lot of things like, how am I going to get This wedding planner to like me. How am I gonna get these amazing photos? And you're just focusing potentially on all of these things that feel heavy and I totally get that like there is a time and a place that things just can feel heavy in your business and Maybe you're to the point where you're like, this isn't working.
I can't do this anymore. I want to quit. I have seen People who have, you know, been working their side hustle, making like 000 in gross revenue, want to give up. Because that vision is lost. The plan is lost. The, the like, inner fucking drive that just makes it, like, this is inevitable. My success is inevitable.
And, like, when you've lost that, it's really easy to think about quitting. And it's really, it probably feels good, like, I'm going to be done being in pain. I'm going to be done looking like I'm failing. I'm going to be done with not succeeding how I have dictated that success looks like. And then there's me in the corner going, Oh my God, you had an 85, 000 business.
You had a 100, 000 business. I mean, I have seen all the things and success is dictated by you and success is dictated by how you feel inside. Like, I could think you're successful, but if you don't, that's what really matters. So what if you want to throw in the towel? I want to talk through some strategies and really hopefully some mindset shifts that will help you go from, this feels horrible, to, to like, I got this and I want you to know for one that there are people out there that are just like you, that feel the same way that you do, that feel this heavy burden, that feel like they can't go any longer, that feel that this is too hard.
So if things are feeling too hard, know that there is hope. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. And sometimes, like, being a business owner just does feel hard. And I know that, that probably isn't very comforting, but if it was easy, everybody would be doing it. And I think that there are definitely ways that we can help mitigate those feelings and to turn things around.
So the first thing that I, if you feel like everything is fucking failing, everything is failing. I want you to audit your effort. Are you putting in half ass effort, but expecting full tilt results. And I know sometimes that's really hard to see when there are a million things going on. Your kids are sick.
The dog is sick. The bunny, if you're in my life, the bunny is sick. Um, you're not feeling well, but then, you know, two, three weeks go by and you're like, crap, I haven't posted on social media. Crap. I took, uh, 10 days to get a, uh, proposal back to somebody. Crap. I didn't respond to that email. Um, crap. I haven't tried to connect with a planner or somebody that could potentially move my business forward in so long.
Those are the things that can pile up and basically squash your momentum. All of those little things are like these giant stop signs that are making you basically put the vehicle in reverse. So if, if you're, if you're really standing back and doing a, like a self audit of, I am I really like giving everything if I putting it all in, am I all in, like, when I say I'm all in on my business, I am all in on my business.
I am all in on my children. I am all in on making a better version of myself. I am all in helping people like it is inevitable. I actually just was on a call. Um, with a friend catching up that was in the life coaching certification, and she's a beautiful human, like I mentioned, um, maybe this call that we had, um, another time, but it was interesting because I'm talking about these big shifts that are coming in my life, and I just was like, you know, talking about some of the apprehensions, like labor being farther away, and what if somebody looks at it as a negative that I'm farther away, and all these things, and finally I was like, But you know what?
I know that my success is inevitable, so it will all work out. Like, what if you had that unapologetic energy behind your business? So that's the next thing that I want to really have you also check in on. What is your energy about your business? Are you like, I am going to win. I win every day. My business is going to be successful.
I am going to be successful. Success is inevitable. I am going to make 100, 000 this year. I'm going to make 200, 000, whatever that number is. Like, my success is going to happen. Like, didn't that energy, like, kind of seep into your heart a little bit? Versus this. This is the energy that I see. Things are hard.
God, this just isn't happening. I don't know what I'm going to do. This is my backup plan. There is no backup plan. I don't need a backup plan because I know that this is going to work. And if you are one of those calculated people that I always need to have a backup plan because doomsday is around the corner, that energy is seeping in your life and your business and is going to be your, your doom.
If you are doom and gloom. Doom and gloom is going to seep into your business. So are you bringing like badass energy? I am a badass in my life, in my business. That is the energy that I bring to the table. So if you have been to one of my retreats, if you have been to like one of my workshops, like I am like, let's do this.
Like you're going to be successful. I want so much more for you. If you're in my mastermind, like I am cheering you on like that energy. You need to start surrounding yourself with that energy. And if you're like, I have no idea where to look, the floral CEO mastermind 2. 0 is like happening and is the place for you to elevate your company, elevate your mindset, elevate your community to a level that is going to be such a shift that you might need if you are stuck here, if you are ready to put your, I would say like, if you're ready to put on your give up panties, like, If you have invested, I call it sunken cost bias, if you have invested so much already, like what is one last stitch to see if this could, could change?
What is one last stitch to see if it can shift? Like everything in life is about small tweaks. So then the third thing I would love for you to audit.
What's working, what's sort of working, and what's not. Because so many people keep doing the same stinking thing. My daughter says stinking all the time, I think it's so cute. If you keep doing the same stinking thing, how are we expecting different results? You might need to mix things up. What is working, what's sort of working, and what isn't working?
We need to do more of what's working. And if that is planners, if that is Zola Leads, if that is Bridal Fares, I don't care what it is, but like, you need to even know what's working. You need to be able to step back and analyze. And I think a CEO day, having a dedicated day to be the CEO in your business, would be a huge shift.
Like, do you actually have time, take time, to reflect on, like, what is going well in your business? Because if you're not, and you're just looking at it like it's broken, Then it's going to have broken results. I know I went through, um, I don't know if you guys have, have been following along to the Cinnabon saga of Christmas and New Year's 2024 25.
But, my, um, I have two bunnies. One of them is Cinnabon, the other one is Gingersnap. And, um, I came out and she had her head twisted about, like, I would say 75 degrees. So like her head's almost basically upside down. And I thought she had a stroke because I had no idea that bunnies actually, like this was a thing.
And I went through and I brought her and she was in the bunny ICU. I mean, I'd like, I just, I spent a ridiculous amount of money, but for some reason I just knew that she was going to get better. And I brought her home after three days in the bunny ICU and, Two days later, um, a new thing started happening, that she was just like Stevie Wonder, like, having her head go back and forth, like, and I knew it was neurological, and so I, like, brought her back in, and they were like, I really think it's time for, you know, it would be okay if you decided to put her down, and I was just like, I'm already in this big chunk of money, I'm not giving up, because I don't give up.
If, if there is hope, I'm not going to give up, and The reason why I bring it up is because I can hear her right now. And I can hear her hopping around, eating the lettuce that I just made, a little salad for her, and I got her a little new bunny, like, kind of, um, bunny pad, that connects to her little condo with her homie, um, Ginger Snap.
And I know sometimes, even when other people are saying you should give up, that if you lock down, And just go, I am going to make this happen. I said, I am going to make her better. With, um, so many things with my daughter, like, I've just been like, this is going to be better. When she was four, and I keep talking about person stories, um, in my last couple episodes, but it's just because there's been so much life happening right now, and when she was four, she barely talked.
And, um, My son at two was saying probably nine word sentences. And so, like, I, I was, my mom, um, passed away when she was three. And her dad was not around helping. And, like, I was sitting there looking at her. And, like, when you can't, nobody understands you, you also, like, you're, you're broken. whole adrenal system is just like running hot.
So you're like in this fight or flight mode of just feeling misunderstood. And honestly, that's very similar to being a business owner. People who punch a clock don't understand, they don't understand. And you might have a partner, you might have a best friend, like that, that driver fire just isn't understood.
And here she is. She's struggling and I just, I looked at her and she was being so sweet and we were, actually I have a video of her like, she talked like a minion because she watched The Minions all the time and like, she, I just looked at her and she was playing in her way and I was like, Mommy is going to fix this.
Mommy is going to make it that you can talk so well and you are going to be so understood. And I brought her speech three times a week. I brought her to OT one time a week. I was working full time and had a business. So if things feel hard, you can still win. And I, like, around that time I met my husband.
And he was like, we're gonna together as a team, like we, you know, he supported me that I could make these big moves to be able to help her. When my son was born, he supported me saying like, I deserved more. Like having that support system is that last piece that I want to talk about that. If your business, you feel like giving up, you need to look at who is around you and what they are saying, how they were supporting you and surround yourself by people who like, just know, just know that you are going to succeed.
Just know that like, Your success is inevitable. Like, you just need to make tweaks. You need to tweak and mold this to be your own. And that could mean a million different things to you. My success is different than other people's. Like, you define what your success looks like. I have a girl in the mastermind.
I absolutely love her. She, um, is a mom of twins and is an expecting. And, like, she is just a beautiful human. And she Has a full time job that, like, is super flexible and, like, is, you know, does well financially because of what she does and, and, like, her definition of success is just different than mine because, like, she's got something that she really loves to do and that pays her good money and that is flexible.
Like, if that works for you, that's your success. Like, what does that look like? And, If you're really struggling, like with this not feeling successful, like with feeling like you need to throw in the towel, I would love for you to step back and audit what success looks like. What does winning the day look like?
What does winning the year look like? What does winning the week look like? I, at the end of the week, do a thing called Sunday Night Prep where I look at and did, I'm like, did I win the week? Was this week successful? Did I accomplish what I wanted? I'm checking in on what's going to happen this week. I'm mapping out my strategy of success.
Are you mapping out your strategy of success? And if you are not, why not? Because success doesn't become inevitable without a foundation of how you are going to get there. Winging it is not a strategy. Having somebody that's been there that knows what you're doing. What they're doing that has done the things, that's why I've hired business coaches.
Because I know that they've done what I want to do. So they know the path and how to get me there. And how to get me there in a more efficient manner with less brain damage. And with strategy that's really going to be what pushes me forward without the heartbreak. And I'm serious that I think that the floral CEO mastermind could be that conduit for you.
Because I see how it's changed. Like, so much. Not just for a few girls. For like, I mean, I've had girls that just graduated out of there. After a year, they were like, they're ready for their next level. And, I'm, you know, I miss them. Because I really loved them. Formed relationships. I knew, I can tell, I can tell when one of my mastermind girls is going into shutdown mode because that is a coping mechanism.
I can tell if one of them is struggling. I can tell, like, when one of them is just crushing it. I can see why. And you need somebody in your corner. I hope you go through and do these little audits because if you are considering giving up, don't give up. There is hope. If you're not meant to do this, then you're not meant to do this.
And like, maybe the faster you figure that out, if you're not meant to be a business owner, if you're not meant to be a risk taker, if you're not meant to, if you don't have the drive to put in the work, then maybe it is time to give up. But I believe in you. I'm guessing other people that love you, they believe in you too.
So get ready to kick ass and take names in 2025. Stop filling your full, your brain, your own Your energy full of, I want to give up. And I want you to fill it with, I'm going to succeed. Because success is inevitable for you. And if you need to take a post it note, write that down. Put it on your bathroom mirror, so every time you go in.
Because if your success, if you don't believe your success is truly going to happen, then it might not. So start believing, start doing, start taking action. And I want you to go and have the life and the business of your dreams, flower friend. Thank you so much for listening, and you have an amazing flower filled day. 📍
